New ReviewerHi my name is Edward McBride. I have been a loyal customer with the PlayStation Network for over 20 years.
my information on the PlayStation network was stolen and people began to make fraudulent charges. I immediately contacted my bank and had it shut down and asked to be refunded. the PlayStation Network permanently suspended my account. why am I being punished for something I had no control over.
the PlayStation network is telling me they want the $188 for me to regain access to the PSN Network.
this is absolutely ridiculous. the last game I purchased on the network was Mortal Kombat XL that is when everything started to go to ***

I did something similar, but via a Paypal dispute. The Representative said anything related to "refunding" you must contact them and not your financial institute or in my case paypal.
Because it is seen as a breach of security and "we" have violated PSN terms and conditions. Which is called, "Banned by chargeback". Similar to your situation. I have to pay back $59.99 in ps store code to unbanned my account.
The other appeal was to unbanned via appeal, but because i basically sent a *** ck you via email and expressed my concern via PayPal and such. I believe they automatically decided I wasn't qualified.
Nothing is said as to how the process works (I was to mad to ask, trying to maintain a friendly tone, but perhaps it eventually showed) and since this seems to be a common mistake looking through the reviews if people petiton it, cause psn has to abide by local country laws we all can sue them. i'm going to share your experience
