He is pretty much screwed. He can no longer play his games.
It is 100% legal and if you went to court over it you would lose.
You may still be able to play your single player games, but you will not be able to install on a new device or re-install on the current device. I suggest use this as a learning experience.In some cases you can setup a new account, but your current PS4 or IP Address may have been banned also.
Tell him to stop cheating online.
